I have lived in my apartment building for over 5 years now (and 10+ in NYC) and I still get slightly upset when people I pass in the hallway actively avoid eye contact or smile. Is this weird? How can people just actively (and repeatedly) avoid acknowledging someone as they pass? I swear I’m not going to have a full blown conversation with you. 😃
